Oh the Dread!

This is how I feel right now!

So its that crappy time every two weeks when I have to go grocery shopping. Its not really the shopping part that I dread so much its the meal planning. It seriously gives me a headache and takes me like two days to plan meals for two weeks. I feel like I cook the same things over and over again. Our weekly meals consist of taco salad, grilled chicken, and enchiladas. Its pretty pathetic. So if any of you have any recipes that you love and are some what easy to make please please post them because Im sitting here at my desk scrounging for Ideas.

If you have a grill we make tinfoil dinners with potatoes carrots and a burgar pattie in the middle with some cream of chicken and salt and pepper. I think it takes about 30 min or so. They are really yummy. I pre cook the carrots and the potatoes a little before you put it all together. We also like to put chicken in the crockpot with BBQ sause and then have pulled pork on buns. I am getting hungry now!

I'm pretty much in charge of all the lunches and dinners at our house. Korie always tells me i lack variety, and I just let her know she can pitch in and make something different if she wants to complain. :-)

Here are some of my meals:
Spaghetti is really easy and inexpensive.
Any of the pasta roni or rice a roni meals are decent.
Hamburger helper if you like it.
Taco soup is very quick and easy, even more so if you don't want to put hamburger in it.
Bowmans sells a frozen chicken cordon bleu usually for $1-1.50 each that are actually pretty good.
Keep a frozen pizza or two in the freezer for those nights that you don't feel like cooking anything.
Breakfast for dinner (pancakes, waffles, french toast, whatever)
Hamburgers/hotdogs and chips cooked on the grill or george forman.

I hate figuring out what to make too its not fun! Easy things are spaghetti, and spice it up with some italian seasonings and cook hamburger and throw it in there too..then its a little more home made. If you make a HUG pot of sauce w/meat then you can put it into portion size freezer bags and take it out for another night. You can make baked Zeti with it, just do the tube noodles and your sauce mixed it and grade moz. cheese all over the top and bake. SO easy. I kind of enchilladas that I make are so easy.. boil chicken breasts, mix in a bowl cream of chicken: half a thing of sour cream: cheese: and some green chilli sauce if you like. Shread the chicken into your bowl of sauce till there is quite a lot of chicken and fold them into tortillas and place side by side in pan and bake. Make sure to put the sauce over the top of them and more cheese if you like! Taco soup, throw a roast or ham in crock pot, chilli, marinade your chicken the night before, buy meats from Sniders in ogden SO yummy! Just a couple easy things I love, there's my novel!
